After many great years in Bountiful, we’ll be relocating to a new store in Kaysville.

We’re not going far - just about 12 miles north - and you can expect the same staff, service, and products you know and trust.

Final day in Bountiful: Saturday, May 23
Opening in Kaysville: Monday, June 1

Moving FAQ

Why are we moving?

Our current rent has increased to the point where it no longer makes sense for the business to stay at the current location. Moving allows us to stay healthy long-term and continue serving the customers of Davis County and customers online.

Where are we moving?

We are moving to a new location in Kaysville, about 12 miles north of our current store.

Why Kaysville instead of a new location in Bountiful?

There were no retail locations available in Bountiful in our price range. Also, Kaysville is located at the center of Davis County in an area closer to where the population is growing.

When is the move happening?

The move will take place at the end of May.

Saturday, May 23: last day open at the Bountiful location

May 25 ~ 30: store closed while we move locations

Monday, June 1: grand opening of new location in Kaysville

What will the new store hours be?

We will be open Monday through Saturday, 10AM – 6PM at the new location.

What will the new store be like?

The new space will be a bit smaller, but we are designing it to be efficient, organized, and welcoming.

Will lessons, rentals, and repairs continue?

Yes. We will have a small studio at the new location where some lessons will take place. We will continue to offer band and orchestra rentals through Bert Murdock Music, and continue to do instrument repairs through Bert Murdock and Riverton Music. We will also continue to put new strings on stringed instruments at the store for customers.

Will the products offered be the same?

Yes – for the most part. As customer buying habits have changed and the new space is smaller, we will be streamlining some of the products offered. For example, we will streamline the band and orchestra accessories to only sell the items that sell most often. On the other hand, the selection of piano methods and sacred music won’t change.

Is there a recital hall available at the new location?

No, there will not be a recital hall at the new location. The Kaysville library is located just a block away, which has a large recital space with a grand piano.

Will we be having a moving sale?

Yes! We will be having sales throughout May to reduce inventory and make the move a little lighter.

Will the store still be called Bountiful Music?

Yes! We will continue to be called Bountiful Music even though the store is in Kaysville.
